Reg Wright has been with the Gander International Airport Authority since 2004, serving in the capacity of Director of Marketing for 10 years. In 2014, he was selected as the GIAA’s President and CEO. Prior to joining the GIAA, Mr. Wright spent five years as an economic development officer and worked in public relations for the City of Edmonton, Alberta. He is the current Vice President of the Atlantic Canadian Airports Association and serves on the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a past at large director on the Destination Marketing Organization and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Air Access Advisory Committee.
In 2013, he was named among Airport Business Magazine’s Top 40 under 40. He is the recipient of four Airports Council International-North America Marketing and Communications Awards.
A graduate of Dalhousie University, Mr. Wright is born and bred in Gander where he lives with his wife, Jackie, a schoolteacher, and children Seth and Jenna. He holds a Diploma in Airport Operations from the CAOC.
